A Goa government-appointed company has demarcated ‘protected swim’ and ‘no selfie’ zones at seashores within the state, a spokesperson stated on Wednesday.
The company, tasked with sustaining seashore security, mapping climate and sea situations each morning, units up “protected swim zones” alongside the seashores. The zones are consistently monitored by the company’s lifesavers, he stated.
The spokesperson claimed a complete of 392 people have been rescued from drowning off the seashores within the state to date this 12 months by Drishti Marine’s lifesavers.
